Our client is a privately owned, fast-growing food manufacturer.  They have 40 years’ experience making premium-quality, branded and private-label condiments.  They currently have a new opportunity for a Regional Manager at their location in the Southeast.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for all activities surrounding customer and broker relationships to include, but not limited to, current program analysis, product expansion, product line reviews, new item presentations, trade planning/management and development of pricing and customer presentations.

Job Description:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Develop and manage relationships with existing customers and brokers.
• Manage and oversee retail brokers representing the Company’s product line.
• Grow distribution, both new and existing items.
• Identify, develop and make entry into new retailers that Company is not currently doing business with.
• Develop and manage reporting and communicate ongoing results cross functionally; provide analysis and direction of product mix within the account.
• Support product development and launch by providing insight and input regarding customer priorities and product needs and by identifying the most appropriate targets among segment customers.
• Ensure proper pricing strategy exists considering all channels and customers.
• Work collaboratively to ensure client service and support is at highest level.

Qualifications:

• Candidate should have grocery and/or mass merchandiser headquarters experience or at least experience supporting selling.
• Strong communication and business relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic skill set.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3-years’ experience and proven knowledge/understanding of syndicated and customer data: Retail Link, Nielsen, Panel, Spectra, IRI etc…
• Some account sales and/or brand management experience preferred.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to independently conduct in-depth data analysis and use the data to develop strong, persuasive selling stories.
• Strong oral and written communication and good presentation skills.
• Must be computer proficient (Microsoft Office, including Access, Nielsen/IRI, Retail Link).
• Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to successfully multi-task.
• Good interpersonal and time-management skills. Must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of consumer packaged goods industry.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to develop strong internal and external working relationships and to gain agreement on key initiatives.
