They currently have an opportunity for a Bakery Specialist, Southeast, with commercial experience in product development, production operations, quality control and/or bakery science to join and prosper in their Sales team.  This person will be based in the Southeast, preferably, Georgia, North Carolina or Florida.

RESPONSIBILITIES

From retail bakers to large wholesale operations, the Bakery Specialist becomes a trusted partner to create the right solution starting with a solid understanding of bakery processes to equipment specification, installation and start-up.

The Bakery Specialist is much more than a Sales person. The Specialist is a talented individual, proficient in formulation of baked goods, who applies his/her operations experience and chemistry knowledge to transform a bakery operation into an automated solution that preserves unique flavor and product characteristics while yielding production efficiencies and increased capabilities.

• Regional Sales Territory: Southeast – Southern coastal states from Florida north to Virginia and from Georgia west to Arkansas and Louisiana, and Caribbean islands: Jamaica, Trinidad, Puerto Rico;
• Service existing customers leveraging expertise in bakery operations to identify innovative opportunities and assisting customers to realize ROI;
• Develop new business, generating leads through networking within the Bakery industry, identifying opportunities through market research and capitalizing on industry trends;
• Apply technical, product and business knowledge to evaluate customers’ needs, build productive long-lasting relationships, maximizing sales through dedication, dependability and earning customers’ trust;
• Specify equipment, prepare quotes and collaborate with internal resources for customized build;
• Coordinate required resources to successfully install machinery, providing technical expertise and oversight of equipment installation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Expertise in production formulation, plant operations and bakery science; AIB training a plus.
• Proficient in partnering with customers to understand baking processes, product formulations and business goals.
• Bakery industry expertise; staying on top of industry trends and capitalizing on automation equipment expertise.
• Prospecting and account development – and solutions sales.
• Travel within region and to corporate events.
• Spanish language skill preferred, not required.
