They currently have a new opportunity for a Meat Master Craftsman/Demonstrator. This individual may be based anywhere in the U.S.

Primary Function
The Meat Master Craftsman/Demonstrator has the responsibility first and foremost of ensuring that their customers and their business are being taken care of. In this position, you can expect significant (90%) travel (some domestic and occasional international). Tasks that will routinely be performed include demonstration, new product support, customer training, and sales support. It requires an individual who is flexible and capable of dealing with sudden changes, i.e., priorities, client’s schedule. Ability to teach people on the plant team, i.e., R&D, Production, is significant.

Requirements
• Certificate, degree or four-year college education in Meat Science/Sausage making.
• Experience in the meat and sausage-making industry equating to a minimum of 15 years’ working experience.
• Some supervisory experience is required, with demonstrable managerial responsibilities a plus.
• Previous experience as a machine demonstrator with competitors’ equipment.
• Bi-lingual in German preferred.

Responsibilities
• Assist in determining the correct machine applications to automate customers’ meat manufacturing lines.
• Travel to customer locations and demonstrate to the customer’s satisfaction the equipment that has been delivered.
• Educate the customer in meat-making techniques.
• Educate fellow employees in meat-making techniques.
• Advise and coordinate with Vemag all observations regarding their equipment and usage in the U.S. marketplace.
• Become the product line “go to” expert for all meat-making equipment and applications sold by the Company.
• Introduce current and new product offerings from Vemag into the U.S. meat processing industry.
• Identify other applications for the equipment within the U.S. marketplace – e.g. fish industry, ice cream, other…
• Assist and coordinate other projects where your background and expertise lends itself.
