They have a new opportunity for a Director– Bakery Equipment at their location in the Northeast. The Director’s primary responsibility is to manage and support the Company’s bakery sales and installation team in a way that will continually bring value to the team and the customers. In order to accomplish this, you will be expected to:

• Become proficient in represented equipment operation and gain expert knowledge of its capabilities.

• Become an expert on the auxiliary equipment and its various applications that the Company sells to the bakery industry.

• Quote the specialty equipment and all associated bakery equipment.

• Develop relationships with customers, focusing especially on those designated as National Bakery Customers.

• Visit customer plants so you can fully understand both the advantages and problems related to Company’s equipment.

• Learn the Company structure and sales process.

• Develop relationships within the Company, especially with those who impact bakery sales and service.

• Develop a business plan to increase Company’s bakery sales.

• Develop new equipment and products to complement the Company’s bakery offerings and increasing overall sales to the bakery industry.

• Attend and participate actively in Regional Sales Manager meetings.

• Attend and participate in Company and represented equipment manufacturer R&D meetings, and execute strategies developed in these meetings.

• Attend and actively participate in represented equipment manufacturer bakery activities including training, tradeshows, and industry events.

 

Responsibilities:

• Directly manage the National Bakery salesmen and National Bakery installation team.

• Expand the team as necessary to further develop and grow the bakery business.

• Fully understand the products that make up the Company’s bakery business.

• Provide support and coordination of Regional Bakery Sales Specialists to develop a tighter, more effective team.

• Support the internal development of the Company’s bakery offerings.

• Liaison with key suppliers and support their development efforts.

• Become a key participant in the Company’s industry initiatives with industry associations such as BEMA, AIB, ASB, and ABA.

• Become a product champion for the represented machinery and process check weighing equipment.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; Food Science and MBA preferred;

• Food industry experience –bakery goods manufacturer experience preferred;

• 10+ years’ strategic accounts planning and production operations preferred;

• Demonstrated ability to drive measurable business results via strong influence management;

• Strong verbal/written communication, listening and presentation skills

• Proven ability to hire, develop, motivate and coach teams to achieve consistent year-over-year performance.
