Our client is a food and beverage company founded in 1982, which carries the commitment to use all the money it receives for charitable purposes.  As of May 2017, they have donated over $490 million to thousands of deserving organizations around the world.

They seek a Senior Manager, Product Development, of both human and pet foods to work in their corporate headquarters in the New York Metro area. The individual will be working with co-manufacturers who formulate the products for our client based on the specifications provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:  Include the following and other duties that may be assigned.

Manages human food and pet food product development projects from concept to finished product. Must ensure that the ingredients, packaging and manufacturing processes used result in finished products that meet the Company’s requirements.

Must have technical knowledge of food science, food processing and food safety.

Must manage resources at our contract manufacturers for the development of the product, development and production of packaging and initial finished product production.

Manage compressed timelines with fixed completion dates for multiple projects.

Must effectively communicate and interact with contract manufacturers and other business partners.

Work with Marketing on package development.  Responsible for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance of labeling.

Needs to be aware of applicable government regulations.

Manages and updates written technical documentation and specifications.

May become involved with quality-assurance-related projects as required.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in Food Science from a four-year college or university and minimum ten years’ related experience and/or training with human food and pet food, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
