Our client is a leading manufacturer of refrigerated dips and spreads. They have a new opportunity for a Senior Manager Manufacturing IT, at their location in the mid-Atlantic states.

The Sr. Manager Manufacturing IT is accountable for defining and delivering IT strategy and capabilities across our manufacturing operations. This is a pivotal role in driving up to date, digital supply chain solutions at Sabra. The position will lead strategy development and execution, systems implementation and change management, data analytics and user experience improvements. The Senior Manager will lead a small team and it will be critical to build strong and productive relationships with the supply chain and operations leaders, as a true partner to leverage IT as a business enabler.

The Sr. Manager should develop a deep understanding of critical business issues, recommend IT solutions that provide competitive advantage. Assure that IT solutions provide exceptional user experiences while being compliant and safe.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes strategy for manufacturing systems and the digital supply chain that improves the competitive advantage for Sabra operations
  • Develop strong partnerships with the supply chain and operations leaders and key team members; provides overall technical leadership for the manufacturing team and enterprise thought leadership on Manufacturing systems and technology
  • Develop deep understanding of manufacturing business processes and define path to improve employee experience and process automation
  • Identifies new opportunities to deliver business value and integrates into strategic and executable plans based on existing business challenges and opportunities to be more effective
  • Develop solution and business cases for new investments
  • Identify and evaluate new solutions and technologies to address business needs
  • Directs the utilization of information system resources and plans, designs, and implements information systems and technologies for manufacturing systems and the digital supply chain
  • Assigns and coordinates the work of staff, contractors and vendors; understands business challenges and defines solutions that enable business value
  • Leverage vendor partners to execute development and support work, as needed, and plan / schedule appropriate resources
  • Remains current with technological advances and industrial innovation
  • Develops and manages associated project budget and maintains necessary controls to assure compliance with budgeted expenses, resources, and staff
  • Develops staff, creating and encouraging a continuous learning environment, ensuring ability to deliver strategy
  • Establishes goals for the area of responsibility, aligned with departmental and organizational goals and holds team and self-accountable
  • Identify and act on potential risks and issues; remove roadblocks when necessary
  • Ensures the provision of cost-efficient information services and systems
  • Ensure alignment of all critical systems to security standards and IT controls

Professional Experience and Education

  • 7+ years of career experience in technology, including a minimum of 4 years in a leadership position
  • IT leadership experience in a global environment preferred
  • Experience in food manufacturing or a related industry is preferred
  • Experience with manufacturing systems implementation and successful use including MES/MOM, Laboratory Information Managements Systems, and/or SAP
  • Experience with smart factory / digitization / industry 4.0 initiatives and strategy
  • A bachelor’s degree is required
